"There's nothing music doesn't do." - Doug Morris

The Smithsonian's The American Scene explores the impact of American entertainment on our social and cultural identity throughout history.

The founder of 12Tone Music, Doug Morris, sat down for an interview with the organization which is now published on their website. He explores highlights of his longstanding career, from beginnings in A&R at Laurie Records, being mentored by Ahmet Ertegun, meeting Steve Jobs to discuss new music tech (the now famous iPod), and much more.
